EMDR therapy: a gentle, effective way to heal from past trauma. By recalling difficult memories while following guided eye movements, your brain naturally processes and reduces emotional distress, helping you feel lighter and more in control.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT): Particularly useful for individuals struggling with emotional regulation, this therapy combines cognitive-behavioral techniques with mindfulness and acceptance strategies.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): This focuses on identifying and changing negative thought patterns and behaviors that contribute to stress and trauma symptoms.
Attachment-based therapy (ABT): This therapeutic approach emphasizes the importance of early relationships in shaping an individual's development. Attachment-based therapy can be beneficial for individuals struggling with a range of issues, including relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, anxiety, depression, and unresolved trauma related to attachment experiences.
Polyvagal Theory Approach: This offers a neurobiological understanding of how the autonomic nervous system influences responses to stress, trauma, and social interactions and helps reconnect a person to their body.
Trauma Informed Clinical Yoga: A holistic approach to heal from stress or trauma, integrating mind, body, and spirit in a safe and empowering environment. It can complement traditional therapy and other healing modalities, providing individuals with valuable tools for self-regulation and resilience.
Reactive Emotive Behavioral Therapy: A therapy that targets irrational beliefs contributing to emotional distress and unhealthy behaviors. Its goal is to foster emotional well-being and personal growth by altering thought patterns and responses to events.
LGBTQ+ affirming therapy: A therapeutic approach that acknowledges and respects the diverse identities and experiences within the LGBTQ+ community and creates a safe and supportive environment for individuals who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, or any other sexual orientation or gender identity. This form of therapy focuses on validating and affirming clients' identities, helping them navigate issues related to their sexual orientation or gender identity, addressing discrimination and stigma, and promoting self-acceptance and empowerment.
Holistic Approaches: Integrating techniques such as yoga, art therapy, and movement alongside traditional therapy can provide additional avenues for healing.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy: Incorporates mindfulness meditation and mindfulness practices into psychotherapy. It aims to help individuals become more aware of their thoughts, feelings, and bodily sensations without judgment, and to develop skills for managing stress, anxiety, depression, and other psychological issues.

How to request reimbursement from your insurance if you are Out of Network:
First, contact your insurance provider and inquire about Out of Network Benefit coverage for Mental Health Therapy. Important questions to ask: If there are specific diagnosis required for coverage, limitations to coverage, percentage of the fee the insurance will pay and percentage of the fee you will pay, and the process for filing an out of network claim.
Second, once you've confirmed with your insurance company - request from your therapist your diagnosis and a quarterly Superbill. You will need to pay for your sessions in full, up front.
Third, submit the Superbill to your insurance company through their individual method and your insurance will reimburse you according to your policy agreement.
** A Superbill is a receipt for services with which the client may submit to their insurance company for potential reimbursement
