Therapy Groups

Group therapy offers a supportive space to connect with others who understand what you're going through. Together, you'll explore ways to manage anxiety, depression, and feelings of disconnection while learning tools to find balance and emotional regulation—all guided by a skilled therapist.

Regulate, Restore, Renew: Understanding your Nervous System

Our nervous system plays a crucial role in how we handle the stress of life but the good news is that you can learn to befriend, regulate, and thrive.

Based on Polyvagal Theory and mindfulness practices, this group offers practical tools and guided support to:

  • Map your nervous system and understand its patterns.

  • Build resilience and respond to stress more effectively.

  • Cultivate personal growth and build emotional peace in a world of overstimulation.

This is an 8 week virtual group from 7:30-9pm for adults led by Hannah Tracy, LCSW. Hannah specialized in Trauma informed therapy and is a 500 hour Yoga Teacher trained specifically in trauma informed therapeutic yoga practices and brings somatic based techniques into her practice.

Please call our office if you have questions about the group or to register over the phone. Therapy groups are $45 per session or $350 paid in full - insurance is not accepted. A free 15 minute intake call is required for each person prior to the first group session. Next group starts September 2025!

PolyVagal Theory

Polyvagal theory, developed by Dr. Stephen Porges, explains how the vagus nerve, a key part of the autonomic nervous system, regulates our responses to stress and connection. It identifies three states: the ventral vagal state (safety and social connection), the sympathetic state (fight or flight), and the dorsal vagal state (shutdown or freeze). These states are evolutionary responses designed to help us survive. In therapy, understanding these patterns helps you recognize how your nervous system responds to triggers and learn strategies to move toward regulation and connection, fostering a sense of safety and resilience.
